Although we in Rotary E-Club of 3310 have been helping the Roslin Orphanage with the help of our Club's VP Captain Budi in many ways, I personally, sincerely look forward to the DAY we Rotarians (mean ALL Rotarians together -not only our E-Club) can adopt this Orphanage and run it as an on-going Project with a worthy cause.
Hi AG Shirin, I fully agree with you. Our dear CPT Budi has planted a GOOD SEED, i sincerely believe this GOOD SEED will continue to GROW.
I hereby wish him (CPT BUDI )all the best in MAKING DREAMS REAL.Lets advertised for him by word of mouth on what he has done . FYI, every time when he is off duty in USA, he do physical meeting with other Rotary clubs Either in New York or San Franciso/Los Angeles.
There are four ways, and only four ways, in which we have contact with the world. We are evaluated and classified by these four contacts: what we do, how we look, what we say, and how we say it.
Dale Carnegie
May these sayings give us the motivation to do our best and be the best we can be.

Rotary Club of Semarang Kunthi (the host club) is in the final process of submitting a Matching Grant proposal to TRF for the following project.
Location: Roslin Orphanage, Kupang, West Timor, Indonesia
This ‘Train the Trainer’ project aims to train local teachers to teach English as a second language both within the Roslin Orphanage and also the surrounding community, so the children can become employed in the tourist industry and also advance to and beyond tertiary education level via their local Undana University. They have no other significant employment industry in this region.
It is planned to develop a working but voluntary link with the Undana University, which provides teacher training for its relevant students, who (it is hoped), will become involved in the English Language programme as a part of their own regular study programme. A pool of teaching resources will be built up in the course of the project, which will include Information technology devices. This will ensure that a good up-to-date standard is maintained. Structured curriculum will also be incorporated by the specialist teachers directly involved in setting up the programme, with advisory assistance from the local University so that the language development programme remains valid, localized and consistent.
The host and international partners (Rotary eClub of 3310 and Rotary Club of Armadale) shall be responsible for the following:-
Coordinate and vet outside volunteers using a ‘what, how and when’ schedule–especially those associated with the ‘Train the trainer in teaching English as a second language” , which is the focus of this specific programme.
Organize, purchase and provide essential learning resources, to be used for the programme.
Sign a dated teacher/volunteer support schedule that provides maximum support and continuity as far as this is possible. Consideration will be given to who the candidates are, what skills they can offer and what actual programme they will engage the children in. Local university student input will also be considered here.
Engage the local university lecturer staff to include student efforts as a part of their own training course.
At this point of time, we have received the following financial commitment:-
Rotary Club of Semarang Kunthi US$100 + US$200 in DDF (District 3400)
Rotary Club of Armadale US$3,000 + US$3,000 in DDF (District 9470)
Rotary Club of Bukit Timah US$1,000
Rotary Club of Belait US$3,000
Rotary eClub of 3310 US$1,000
(Total amount for the project based on the above contributions is US$18,550)
We wish to record our special thanks to PP Irvin Philips of Rotary Club of Armadale in Perth, Western Australia, for putting this together. You have certainly made a difference!
