Dear fellow Eclub Rotarians

It is now the beginning of a new Rotary year. I look forward to this exciting time, with our board members, a new theme to work with, and a renewed sense of purpose for our service projects. The beginning of this particular Rotary year is, of course, especially exciting for me as I look forward to working with our E-Rotarians on the many remarkable projects that we will be carrying out.

This year theme is The Future of Rotary Is in Your Hands. I sincerely ask you to step forward and volunteer yourself in Service Above Self. Our club needs each and everyone of you to participate and shape the future of our club. Remember that no Rotary club can exist without its member and we are no different. I am sure you can find an area of interest that you are passionate about and I urge you to join in one of the CLP Committees, whether it be Club Administration, Membership, Service Projects, Rotary Foundation or Public Relations.

This year is a difficult time for many of us as we struggle to keep our jobs and balance our lives as the economy weakened. Some of us may have lost our jobs, but not our spirits. We have many great ongoing projects, for example, the Roslin Orphanage in West Timor by Cpt. Budi Soehardi and family, My Wish Project, RYLA and Advanced RYLA, and many more.

On Saturday, 25 July 2009, the Rotary Club of Bukit Timah and Rotary Eclub of 3310 will be having a joint installation dinner at Padang Palace, Singapore Recreation Club, Stamford Road, Singapore from 6.30 pm. We are pleased to inform you that DG Datuk Haji Md Latip Sarrugi will be our Guest of Honour. We look forward to a fun-filled evening and fellowship.

As we are a Rotary E-Club, therefore, we have to log in to our website every week. Please note our attendance includes going to www.rotaryeclub3310.org to participate.  At the 2010 Council On Legislation, the future existence of Rotary E-Clubs around the world shall be decided.  You can make the difference – be an active contributor on our web forums! We will be having an internet training session for members who are still not familiar with logging and posting on the forums at our next physical meeting on 9 July 2009 and we look forward to your active participation!
 
Last but not least, let us continue to work harmoniously as a T-E-A-M (Together Everyone Achieves More) to Make Dreams Real for our children. Let us make the necessary changes to help make this world a better place to live in.
