Presidents Message for July 2018

Dear Friends of Rotary and fellow Rotarians,

On behalf of RC EClub of 3310, I would like to thank all our donors, volunteers, Friends of Rotary and my fellow Rotarians for making a difference, for achieving many new milestones and great success in Rotary Year 2017-2018.  

We had successfully achieved together the following milestones:-

1. Our membership had increased from 19 to 33 members at end June 2018.
2. Project Gift of Sight, Nepal 2017 was completed with 1,000 cataract eye surgeries .
3. Participated in the Food Wastage program serving 5,000 meals from vegetables rescued from Pasir Panjang Wholesale Market.
4. Joint winner for District 3310 International Service Project Award.
5. Organized the 3rd World Speech Day March  2018 and opening ceremony by our GOH Ms Joan Pereira, MP of GRC Tanjong Pagar.
6. Jointly organized a 1 full Day Communication and Public Speaking workshop for 150 students with friendship club, RC of Muar.
7. RC EClub of 3310 was featured in Rotary news under “Be A Vibrant Club”.
8. Two Happy Community programs were introduced; i.e. KopiFriends & Friends@ All Saints Home, Yishun.
9. Organized an 8-session Youth Leadership Program (YLP) from 12 October to 2 November 2017 for ITE College East Rotaractors 

For this Rotary Year 2018-2019, we shall continue to focus on three strategic areas as follows:-

1. Membership growth and active participation of members and friends of Rotary 
2. Leadership Training and Team Building 
3. Sustainable growth in our four key programs, namely, Prevention Blindness, Youth & Leadership, Happy Community and Water & Sanitation.

In summary, I encourage all our members to be guided by Rotary’s new Vision statement which states “Together we see a world where people unite and take action to create a lasting change – across the globe, in our communities and in ourselves”.

We will continue to build a Dynamic and Vibrant Club with diversity and your active  participation; and building quality and sustainable programs.

Bring a friend and share with them “Who is a Rotarian?”. Come and attend our monthly physical meeting on 12th July 2018 @Chinatown Point.
