Dear fellow Rotarians,
As we usher in the new Rotary year 2019-2020, it also marks the start of a wonderful journey for the club. I would like to begin with gratitude. Thank you for the great opportunity to serve the Club, to lead, to inspire and work with my new Board of Directors to bring new energy and vibrance to the next level.
I would like to firstly recognize the success we witnessed under the excellent leadership of IPP Richard between year 2017-2019. We have doubled our membership growth in the last 2 years, implemented our signature project, Gift of Sight, a cataract eye international medical outreach and specified our club’s signature programs under the following categories, namely, Prevention Blindness Program, Youth Leadership Program as well as our Happy Community Program. With the BOD of year 2018-2019, we have won a Gold Award for Best International Service Project and have also been declared as district champions for membership recruitment. These are certainly great milestones.
In the new term, we will continue to focus on the 3 signature programs of Rotary E-Club of 3310 with an addition of a 4th category under Water and Sanitation Program to bring about a more well-rounded contribution. I believe in the importance of ensuring sustainability in every program that we embark on and I would like to focus on needs-based initiatives to serve the community effectively.
It will be a year of collaborations and connections within and outside of Rotary organization. We will also see great but positive changes within the club, an essential step as we aim to increase the membership of younger new Rotarians. Rotary E-club of 3310 is proud to be a club known for being bold, being different and vibrant. In addition to community service, I am focused on building our members from within. We will implement initiatives to intensify our members in their Rotary experience and realize their passion and dreams in their Rotary journey with the Club.
