Rotarians are people of action. We set goals and strive to achieve them. Indeed, we have achieved much during our first 7 months together. Soon we shall have a new Club President.
For Gift of Sight Indonesia, we received approval from TRF for our GG1982266 and are waiting for a couple more contributions from Clubs before the project can officially commence. Gift of Sight Bangladesh (GG2095828) is progressing well with a few queries from TRF which we need to address.
We have put out feelers to explore doing a WASH (clean drinking water) project too and on 15 February, we travel to Rotary Club of Pontian to witness the formal handover of RM300k cheque for them to take over the running of Pontian Palliative Care Unit.
At home front, through Rtn Dr Doris Ang, we brought Chinese New Year Celebration to the residents at SWAMI Home. So, let us continue to do good, enjoy good friendship and fellowship as Rotary Connects the world.
Let's encourage everyone to aim for the highest to achieve our big dream of making ours a full PHF giving club with the excellent motivation helmed by Rtn Joyce Lau. Remember to drop your angbaos into the little piggy bank too. By March, we hope to pin more collars!
